The Texas GOP voted against a ban on associating with Nazi sympathizers. The proposed ban came after a top state conservative met with Nick Fuentes, a white nationalist who praises Hitler. The state Senate's impeachment rules committee set aside four charges involving Paxton's private business dealings that House charges said were obstruction of justice and false statements in official records. At the end of the trial on the 16 remaining charges, the Senate could dismiss those four charges or hold a separate trial on them.
